Family Fun Idea - Scripture Fun

The Bible talks again and again of the importance of hiding God’s word in our hearts. Often this task can seem daunting and difficult. Yet, when the whole family gets in on it, things can get really fun!
1. Pick out a Bible verse. You may have each family member submit a few passages and then draw one out of a hat. Make sure that the verses submitted are not ones you already know.
2. Grab some note cards, paper, crayons, markers, etc. Write the verse on a bunch of note cards or pieces of paper, then decorate them.
3. Hang your verses all over the house in places you will easily see them. You may hang them on the mirror, the sink, light switches, the T.V. or computer. Be creative. If you have small children, they can help you tape the verses up.
4. Whenever you see the verses say them with whoever is around. Ask members of the family how they are doing on the verse. At the end of the week, see if everyone can say the week. You may even have fun putting the verse to a tune you already know. Then you can sing or recite the verse as you’re riding in the car and doing all sorts of things.
